Optometrist Assistant / Receptionist

Eye-deology Vision Care is a locally owned and operated vision care and optical clinic in north Edmonton, providing advanced eye care and modern eyewear in one of the city’s busiest commercial developments. We are in search of a full-time and a part-time, permanent Optometrist Assistant to be a part of our friendly team. Along with optometrists and opticians, you will provide care to our existing and growing clientele in the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate will have previous related experience, be available to work 1 or 2 evenings a week until 7:30pm and 2-3 Saturdays per month, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking. Hours will range between 15-40 hours per week. No Sundays or holidays.

Qualifications / Duties:

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Experience in the eye care industry would be an asset, but is not required.
• Greeting patients and admitting patients.
• Answering phone calls and booking appointments.
• Performing pretesting scans and tests.
• Submitting insurance claims and receiving payments.
• Receiving deliveries.
• Providing excellent patient care and customer service.
• Educating and informing patients.
• Working with and supporting other staff.
